This course is designed for people managers and business professionals who want to integrate AI into their daily work to boost productivity, improve communication, and free up time for higher-value leadership tasks. It is ideal for those seeking to use AI in practical, human-centred ways that make management more effective and less administrative. The course is specifically focused on generative AI applications and does not cover agentic AI or advanced autonomous systems.

What will I learn?

You will learn how to use generative AI as an enabler for better leadership, not just a technical tool. The course helps you understand how AI can support decision-making, simplify everyday tasks, and enhance how you communicate, coach, and collaborate. You will explore how to design prompts that generate meaningful outputs, apply AI responsibly and effectively, and develop strategies to embed AI into your workflows. By the end of the course, you will understand how to combine technology with empathy and judgment to lead more efficiently and authentically, adopting an AI-first mindset rather than using AI as an afterthought.

Are there any prerequisites?

No prior technical background is required. Some familiarity with basic generative AI tools is helpful, and participants are encouraged to experiment with AI in their daily tasks before attending the course. This will help you bring more relevant questions and examples to class. Once registered, you will receive details on the free AI platforms you will need to create accounts for ahead of the session.

How will I learn?

You will learn through a fully hands-on, one-day workshop focused on real-world application. Together with your peers, you will explore common challenges managers face, from communication and feedback to research and reporting, and discover how AI can simplify, automate, or enhance these activities. You will learn through live demonstrations, guided experimentation, and peer discussions. By the end of the day, you will have built your own prompt library and workflow plan, equipping you to integrate AI confidently and effectively into your daily work.

How will I apply my learning?

You will reflect on your own management and productivity challenges, such as planning, communication, feedback, and team development, and explore how AI can improve these areas. Through guided practice and experimentation, you will build an AI-enhanced workflow tailored to your role, creating prompts and practices you can apply immediately at work. Each activity is designed to help you put learning into action and drive measurable improvement in your leadership effectiveness.

What makes this course different?

This course bridges technology and leadership through a problem-based, hands-on approach. Rather than simply teaching AI tools, it starts with the real challenges you face as a manager. You will examine your current workflows, identify where AI can simplify or strengthen them, and apply new approaches through guided practice. You will leave with clarity on how to use AI effectively in your work, and with an AI-first mindset that makes technology a proactive partner in leadership and productivity.

Change starts with a conversation.
