AI User Reinventing Your Work and Impact

Use AI more effectively, automate recurring work and keep human judgment where it matters.

Build practical capability to choose the right tools, improve the quality of outputs, create useful assistants and workflows, and apply AI responsibly in everyday work.

Course overview

Getting more from AI at work.

Using AI regularly is becoming increasingly common. The opportunity now is to use it with greater range, discipline and judgment, and to move beyond one-off prompts into more reliable and repeatable ways of working.

That means selecting the right tool for the task, giving AI the context it needs, checking outputs before relying on them, and recognising where privacy, risk or professional judgment call for a different approach. It also means identifying recurring work that can be supported by assistants, agents and automation.

AI User helps turn everyday AI use into a more reliable, repeatable and valuable way of working.

What you will gain

Build practical fluency for everyday AI-enabled work.

By the end of the course, participants will be able to:

  1. Choose the right tool and model for the task

    Match different AI tools, models and ways of working to the task, considering quality, effort and fit.

  2. Improve the quality of AI outputs

    Use prompt, context and personalisation techniques to produce stronger research, analysis, communication and other work outputs.

  3. Apply judgment to AI-generated work

    Check sources, challenge reasoning and identify errors, bias or weak evidence before deciding what is fit for use.

  4. Use AI responsibly

    Make informed decisions around privacy, confidentiality, accountability, cost and appropriate disclosure.

  5. Identify work worth automating

    Examine recurring activities and decide what should be automated, assisted, retained or stopped.

  6. Build AI assistants and workflows

    Configure an AI assistant or agent for a recurring task and connect AI-enabled steps into a repeatable workflow with appropriate human checks.

  7. Find new opportunities to use AI

    Experiment with applications beyond current habits and assess which are worth incorporating into everyday work.

Who the course is for

For professionals ready to move beyond one-off AI use.

AI User is designed for professionals across functions who already use AI and want more capable, reliable and repeatable ways of working.

Producing research, analysis and regular outputs

Use AI to improve recurring knowledge work while maintaining quality and professional judgment.

Examples: Analysts, Finance Executives, Engineers and Project Executives.

Creating content, advice and client-facing work

Apply AI to communication, proposals, presentations and advisory work without compromising accuracy or quality.

Examples: Marketing and Communications Executives, Consultants, Account Managers and HR Business Partners.

Managing recurring work at greater scale

Identify tasks that can be supported by assistants, agents or automation and build more efficient ways of working.

Relevant across functions where recurring professional work forms a significant part of the role.

Participants should already use AI in their work, understand broadly what it can and cannot do, and be comfortable with common AI tools. Coding or specialist technical expertise is not required.

What makes this course different

Built for better work, not just faster work.

Practical from the start

Participants work directly with AI throughout the workshop, applying it to realistic professional tasks and producing outputs they can evaluate, improve and use.

Judgment is treated as a core AI skill

The course develops the ability to question outputs, spot weak reasoning and decide when human expertise needs to take the lead.

Goes beyond prompting

Learning extends into context, personalisation, assistants, agents and workflow automation, helping participants build more reliable and repeatable ways of working.

Responsible use is built into the practice

Privacy, confidentiality, accountability and human checks are addressed as part of everyday AI use, rather than as a separate governance topic.

Focused on meaningful work

Participants identify where AI can genuinely improve recurring work, then build practical applications around tasks and workflows that matter in their own context.

Application continues after the workshop

The Ask Me Anything session creates a follow-up point after participants have tested the learning at work, so real questions and challenges can be addressed in context.

AI User explained

Who is the AI User course for?

AI User is designed for professionals across functions who already use AI in their work and want to improve the quality, efficiency and range of what they can do with it.

Typical participants include analysts, marketing and communications professionals, HR practitioners, finance executives, consultants, account managers, engineers and project professionals.

No. Participants should already use AI in their work and be familiar with common AI tools.

The course develops greater fluency, judgment and practical capability, including more advanced prompting, context and personalisation, agents and workflow automation.

No coding or specialist technical background is required.

Participants will build AI assistants, agents and automated workflows using accessible tools without writing code.

The experience includes approximately three hours of pre-work, a two-day in-person workshop, a short post-course assessment, workplace application and a virtual Ask Me Anything session approximately two weeks later.

The workshop is highly practical. Participants work with AI across tasks such as research, analysis and communication, test outputs for errors and bias, configure an AI assistant or agent, map recurring work and build an AI-enabled workflow.

The emphasis throughout is on producing work that is useful, reliable and appropriate for the context.

The course includes practical activities that connect closely to everyday professional work. Where appropriate, participants can draw on familiar tasks and work contexts while following the exercises and safeguards provided during the workshop.

Yes. Participants configure an AI assistant or agent for a recurring task and build a repeatable AI-enabled workflow.

The focus is on creating something useful and reliable, including deciding where human review should remain part of the process.

No. The course is designed to build capabilities that transfer across tools.

Participants work with a range of current AI tools, which may include general assistants such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Microsoft Copilot, alongside tools for research, analysis, agents and automation.

Many introductory programmes focus on basic awareness, prompting or individual tools.

AI User is intended for participants who already have that foundation. It develops broader capability across tool selection, judgment, responsible use, assistants, agents and workflow automation, with a strong emphasis on applying AI effectively in everyday professional work.

Yes. Productivity is one outcome, but the course also focuses on the quality and reliability of AI-assisted work.

Participants learn how to provide better context, select suitable tools, verify outputs, challenge weak reasoning and apply professional judgment before using what AI produces.

Participants leave with practical approaches and outputs that may include:

  • prompts and configurations suited to professional tasks;
  • an AI assistant or agent that has been built and tested;
  • an automated workflow for recurring work;
  • a clearer view of which tasks AI should assist, automate or leave to human judgment;
  • a verification approach for checking AI-generated work; and
  • practical next steps for expanding AI use in the role.
