As organisations adapt to constant change, HR professionals are expected to go beyond traditional roles and operate as strategic partners. Business leaders now look to HR not only for people management, but also for guidance on talent strategy, organisational effectiveness, and workforce transformation. Meeting these expectations requires consulting skills, commercial awareness, and the ability to align HR practices with enterprise goals.

“The best part of the course was the trainer’s knowledge, and real-life insights. The case studies were current, practical, and reflected the realities of today’s market, helping me see exactly how to apply the concepts in my own work.”
“This course stood out because it goes beyond traditional HR tasks. It focuses on strategic thinking, influencing skills, and becoming a true change enabler. Learning how to balance empathy with challenge and align people strategies with business goals has helped me see how HR can drive sustainable growth.”
“The course helped me understand the importance of thinking from a business perspective. I realised why some of the initiatives I proposed weren’t supported by management – I wasn’t solving the root cause. That clarity has changed how I approach problems.”
“My biggest takeaway was understanding what being a true business partner means. These are topics you can’t learn from self-paced modules but only from real experiences shared by seasoned HR leaders like the facilitator. It was an insightful and eye-opening learning experience.”
This course is ideal for HR executives who are ready to move from operational to strategic HR, as well as for HR Business Partners, Centre of Expertise specialists, and HR leaders seeking to elevate their impact as trusted advisors. It is also valuable for HRBPs who want to strengthen their skills in business partnering, stakeholder management, and influencing business decisions.
You will develop core consulting and advisory skills that enhance the quality of HR conversations, from diagnostic questioning and problem framing to linking people insights with business outcomes. You will also learn how to understand the commercial needs of stakeholders, design solution options and trade-offs, and frame recommendations that leaders can act on.
It is helpful to have prior or current experience in an HR role, but a formal consulting or business partnering background is not required.
You will learn through practical, interactive experiences, including case discussions, peer consulting sessions, short case studies, and experience sharing from seasoned HR practitioners who serve as facilitators and fellow participants.
You will bring a live HR challenge from your own context and apply course concepts to it step by step. Through role plays and peer feedback, you will test and refine your recommendations, building confidence to apply them in real business settings.
This course combines Korn Ferry’s proven consulting toolkit with the realities of HR partnering. You will leave with practical advisory templates, diagnostic frameworks, and ready-to-use conversation approaches that strengthen your role as a strategic HR advisor.
