Overview

Today’s HR professionals are expected to go beyond managing people processes to shaping business strategy and outcomes. Yet many find themselves caught between operational delivery and strategic impact, seeking to move from a support role to one that influences direction, performance, and growth.

The Strategic HR Business Partner Programme is designed for HRBPs, HR managers, and HR specialists who aspire to become trusted advisors to the business. It equips participants to bridge the gap between HR and commercial strategy, develop stronger financial and analytical literacy, and communicate insights that drive organisational results.

Over six months, you will build the consulting and influence capabilities required to navigate complex stakeholder environments and lead with credibility. The programme also helps you adapt HR practices to digital transformation, AI adoption, and a multigenerational workforce, all while maintaining a human, values-driven approach.

Drawing on Korn Ferry’s global consulting expertise and grounded in local context, the programme develops HR professionals into strategic partners who can connect people, data, and business priorities. You will leave with the skills and confidence to speak the language of business, influence decisions, and contribute directly to organisational performance and growth.

The HRBP Journey

This six-month, part-time journey builds the mindset and skills that define effective HR business partners who can combine strategic insight with operational credibility and influence.

01

Discover: Personal Insights and Foundations

The programme begins with the Korn Ferry Leadership Solution (KFLS) psychometric assessment based on the KF4D Framework, offering a holistic view of each participant’s drivers, traits, and competencies.

A group debrief supports interpretation of results and helps participants identify key development priorities. These insights form the foundation for how each HR professional approaches the subsequent modules and applies learning within their organisation.

02

Build: Core Business Partnering Capabilities

The five in-person modules strengthen the commercial, consulting, and influence skills essential for HR professionals to partner effectively with the business. Each module follows Korn Ferry Academy’s CECE Learning Design Framework, which balances Content, Examples, Context, and Engagement to ensure learning remains relevant.

Guided by a coach, participants refine how they engage business leaders, communicate insights, and translate learning into measurable organisational impact.

Why Choose the Strategic HR Business Partner Programme

The Strategic HR Business Partner Programme equips HR teams to connect people strategy with measurable business results. It develops the consulting, analytical, and influence capabilities that enable HR to act as a credible advisor to leaders, driving performance, accountability, and growth across the organisation.

Built on global expertise, grounded in local context

Drawing on Korn Ferry’s global consulting work with HR functions, the programme contextualises proven frameworks and insights for Singapore’s evolving workforce. Participants learn how to apply best practices in business partnering within local organisational and cultural realities.

Personalised and evidence-based development

Each participant completes the Korn Ferry Leadership Solution assessment, generating an individualised report that maps personal strengths and development priorities. This creates a data-driven foundation for targeted growth throughout the six-month journey.

Practitioner-led and industry relevant

Every session is facilitated by experienced HR leaders who have worked across industries and understand the realities of business partnering within complex stakeholder environments. Learning is applied, contextual, and anchored in real workplace challenges.

Sustained learning through coaching

One-to-one coaching sessions connect new skills to participants’ live business contexts, helping you test approaches, reflect on outcomes, and accelerate behavioural change.
