This course is designed for HR and Talent Management professionals, as well as leaders, managers, and business owners responsible for developing and retaining key talent. It is ideal for those who want to understand the evolving drivers of engagement and apply practical strategies to keep their best people motivated and committed.
You will learn how to anticipate and manage retention challenges in today’s fast-changing talent market. The course covers how to identify early warning signs of disengagement, analyse retention data, and explore innovative approaches to rewards, recognition, and career growth. You will also learn how to design tailored development and incentive plans that align with individual motivations and organisational goals, creating a culture where top talent chooses to stay and grow.
There are no prerequisites. This course welcomes professionals at any level who are responsible for managing, engaging, or developing people.
You will learn through a one-day workshop that blends expert insight with active participation. The course includes case studies, group problem-solving, and peer discussions anchored in real business examples. Facilitators bring extensive practitioner experience and an engaging delivery style that combines research, storytelling, and practical tools to make learning relevant and actionable.
You will examine real retention challenges from your own organisation, map out key risk factors, and test practical solutions through discussion, case examples, and role-plays. Guided by an experienced facilitator, you will practise conducting stay conversations, crafting retention plans, and designing actions that sustain engagement beyond compensation alone. Each activity is designed to help you apply strategies immediately with your teams.
This course focuses on retention as a core leadership capability rather than a theoretical HR exercise. You will learn to connect data with dialogue, linking analytics, market trends, and human insight to reduce turnover risk. The emphasis is on early intervention, personalised engagement, and leadership accountability in retaining top performers. Participants often describe the course as energising and practical, with real-world case studies that make complex retention challenges tangible and solvable.
