Overview

Organisations today compete as much on talent as on strategy. Yet many HR professionals lack the frameworks and confidence to connect the two, leaving talent decisions reactive rather than strategic.

Korn Ferry Academy's Future-Ready Talent Management Programme is a 6-month, part-time talent management course designed to equip HR generalists, HRBPs, talent managers, and L&D leaders with strategic workforce planning capabilities.

This talent management programme develops end-to-end capability across the full talent lifecycle: identifying high-potential leaders, designing succession frameworks, building retention strategies, and leveraging talent analytics to inform business decisions. The programme integrates learning with individual coaching and Korn Ferry's assessment frameworks.

Grounded in Korn Ferry's global consulting practice and adapted for Singapore's workforce context, the programme provides a practical roadmap for developing HR professionals into strategic talent leaders who can align people strategies with business priorities and drive organisational impact. Participants leave ready to shape workforce readiness, strengthen leadership pipelines, and influence senior stakeholders with credibility and impact.

Who Should Attend

This HR talent management course is designed for professionals seeking to elevate their strategic influence and master the full talent lifecycle:

  • HR Generalists transitioning into strategic talent roles
  • HR Business Partners responsible for workforce planning and succession
  • Talent Managers leading talent acquisition, development, or retention initiatives
  • Learning & Development Leaders integrating talent strategy with capability building
  • HR Managers seeking to deepen their strategic talent capabilities

Participants generally have established HR experience, manage talent processes within their organisations, and are ready to influence senior leaders on workforce priorities with data and frameworks.

What You'll Master

This talent management programme builds six core capabilities that distinguish strategic talent leaders from HR administrators:

1. Strategic Workforce Planning
Align talent decisions with business priorities. Design integrated talent strategies that anticipate capability gaps and enable growth.

2. Leadership Identification & Development
Use Korn Ferry's assessment frameworks to objectively identify high-potential talent and design targeted development pathways that accelerate readiness.

3. Succession Planning
Build future-ready succession frameworks. Identify critical roles, assess bench strength, and ensure leadership continuity for business resilience.

4. Retention Strategies
Apply the Total Rewards Framework to balance financial and non-financial levers. Design retention strategies that sustain engagement and reduce regrettable turnover.

5. Talent Analytics & Insights
Transform raw data into strategic narratives. Build dashboards and presentations that inform workforce risks, capability gaps, and investment priorities.

6. Stakeholder Influence
Lead talent reviews and succession discussions with credibility. Engage senior leaders on workforce priorities using evidence, not anecdote.

The FRTM Journey

The programme is designed as a progressive, applied learning experience. Over six months, participants integrate strategic, analytical, and leadership perspectives, building future-ready talent management capability step by step.

01

Discover: Personal Insights and Readiness

The programme begins with the Korn Ferry Leadership Solution (KFLS), a proprietary psychometric assessment based on the KF4D Framework. Participants gain an integrated view of their drivers, traits, and competencies, identifying their strengths and growth areas as strategic talent leaders.

A facilitated debrief helps participants interpret their results and translate insights into development priorities. This foundation of self-awareness sets the direction for how they approach talent strategy and stakeholder influence throughout the programme.

02

Build: Core Talent Management Competencies

The five in-person modules develop the strategic, analytical, and leadership capabilities required to manage talent end-to-end, from identifying potential to ensuring succession readiness. Each module blends Korn Ferry’s proprietary frameworks, global case studies, and real-world application through the CECE Learning Design Framework, which balances content, examples, context, and engagement.
