Overview
Middle managers occupy a critical position in every organisation. They turn strategy into execution, align priorities across functions, and ensure teams work in concert toward shared goals. Yet many face enterprise-level challenges, such as translating strategic direction into actionable priorities, influencing upward and across functions in complex stakeholder environments, balancing competing demands, and driving collaboration across diverse teams.
ELEVATE is Korn Ferry Academy’s six-month, part-time leadership development journey designed to strengthen these enterprise-level capabilities. The programme equips managers to interpret and drive business strategy, solve complex problems, and lead through influence. Participants learn to think and act beyond their functional boundaries by connecting decisions, stakeholders, and outcomes across the organisation.
Drawing on Korn Ferry’s global leadership frameworks and experience developing enterprise leaders worldwide, ELEVATE applies those insights to Singapore’s business landscape. Through a blend of assessment, experiential learning, and one-to-one coaching, you’ll emerge with sharper strategic judgment, stronger influence across teams, and the confidence to deliver results that advance organisational goals.
The ELEVATE Journey
ELEVATE helps middle managers transition from managing functions to leading across the enterprise. Across six months, participants build strategic breadth and relational depth, supported by assessment, applied modules, and coaching.
Discover: Strategic Leadership Foundations
The journey begins with the Korn Ferry Leadership Solution (KFLS) assessment, built on the KF4D Framework. This provides each participant with a comprehensive view of their leadership traits, drivers, competencies, and experiences.
Participants receive an individual report outlining their key strengths and development priorities. A facilitated debrief supports reflection on these results and helps identify focus areas for the remainder of the programme. The insights serve as a foundation for personal and professional growth throughout the six months.
Build: Core Capabilities for Enterprise Leadership
The four in-person modules develop the capabilities required to lead strategically and influence across boundaries. Each module follows Korn Ferry Academy’s CECE Learning Design Framework, which balances Content, Examples, Context, and Engagement to ensure learning remains relevant and applicable.
Module 1
Effective middle managers understand how business strategy is formulated and executed. In this one-day course, which draws on Korn Ferry-developed case studies from multiple industries, participants examine how senior leaders make strategic trade-offs, align teams to priorities, and connect daily actions to enterprise goals.

Module 2
Skilled leaders take a structured approach to addressing complex challenges. Using a creative, outside-in learning method that begins with a well-known film case, participants analyse how problems are framed, options evaluated, and decisions made under uncertainty. During the two-day course, the Decision-Making Styles Assessment deepens understanding of individual decision preferences and how they can be adapted to different business contexts.

Module 3
Collaboration across functions requires both awareness and adaptability. Through experiential exercises, participants explore how mindsets, assumptions, and communication patterns influence teamwork and innovation. The two-day module emphasises practical ways to build trust, exchange ideas, and sustain cooperation in diverse and matrixed environments.

Module 4
Influence in complex organisations depends on clarity of intent and the ability to adapt one’s approach. Using Korn Ferry’s Influencing Styles Questionnaire, participants assess their natural influence style and consider its impact on outcomes. Over two days, you’ll learn how to align messages to stakeholder priorities and build commitment across varying perspectives and levels of authority.

Apply: Coaching for Real-World Impact
Coaching is integrated throughout the programme to help participants apply what they learn in practical settings. Each participant engages in three one-to-one coaching sessions, scheduled at key points during the six-month journey.
These virtual sessions provide focused support on individual goals and live workplace challenges, such as influencing stakeholders, resolving cross-functional issues, or translating strategic direction into execution. Coaching discussions build reflection and accountability into the learning process, ensuring that concepts from the classroom are applied to real organisational contexts.
By the end of the programme, you’ll demonstrate greater confidence in managing complexity, influencing outcomes, and aligning your teams’ efforts with broader business objectives.
